Sierra 1500 SLE 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 98,000 miles

I purchased this vehicle new in 2005 ($33,000)

Speedometer works correctly 10% of drive time for past 6 years? Shows Zero speed most of time, sometimes 120mph??

PARTIAL RECALL 2011 for vehicles with less than 80,000 miles?

How can there be a partial recall only a DEFECT??

I have complained to General Motors many times with no support or Options of repair other than $650 out of my pocket???

MY LAST GM PRODUCT!!!!

Sierra 1500

  • Automatic transmission
  • 82,365 miles

As usual when I have a problem with a vehicle the recall for this issue requires the vehicle to be 7 years old or less and less than 80,000 miles. I have 86, 578 now on my vehicle. Called the dealership and it going to cost me $500+ to fix the problem. I don't think this is right! It is a manufacturers flaw and they should repair this issue as it is a safety issue. The truck is in excellent shape and other than the electrical issues I have had with the CD player and the dashboard heating up, it's been a good truck.
