Sierra 1500 SLE 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,000 miles

At idle and at low rpm there is a whining or howling noise in the engine compartment. This is heard all the time no matter cold or warm. It can be heard in park at idle or lightly tapping the accelerator. It is also best heard while driving at low speed like in a parking lot.
