The contact owns a 2000 GMC Sierra 2500. The ABS system intermittently activates without warrant. This condition caused the brakes to lock. On one occasion when this failure occurred, the brake pedal fell completely to the floor. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection. The technician stated the wheel speed sensor exhibited excessive corrosion. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for repair service. The failure mileage was 112,000. The current was 112,759.
