Sonoma SLS Extended Cab 4.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 89,000 miles

This is the beginning of multiple problems I've had with this piece of crap truck. I just found this website so prepare to get a bunch of entries for this vehicle. Worst vehicle I or my parents have ever owned and has probably cost more than it's worth in repairs by now.

The third door handle is plastic and breaks way too easily. I bought a third party handle made of aluminum to permanently fix this problem. The replacement was easy and almost anyone can do it, DO NOT pay a repair shop to replace the handle with another plastic one.

This is the 3rd time the latch has broken. One time the shop covered it under customer service two other times I had to pay. In speaking with other GMC owners I was told others had up to 4 3rd door latches repaired. This should be a recall item.
