The accelerator stuck on our 2001 Yukon slt while descending hoosier pass (eastbound on hwy 9 West of alma, co). The brakes failed while trying to slow/stop vehicle. I downshifted to slow our vehicle to a speed and my wife and I exited (jumped out while vehicle was still moving) before going off embankment. My wife jumped first, then I did, just before the vehicle went off the side of the pass. Trees, rocks, and embankment stopped the vehicle approx 150ft down the side of the pass. 2001 Yukon slt, VIN [xxx]. insurance claim still in progress.
