Yukon 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,229 miles
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon. While driving at highway speeds or lower, the transmission shifts very hard. There is also a harsh pounding sound coming from the transmission. All of the electrical components on the instrument panel failed. The dealer changed the crankshaft sensor. While driving, the contact cannot tell when the gear is in neutral. The speedometer displays inaccurate speeds and the air bag light illuminates. The plastic on the window fell off and the front driver's side door handle sticks when it is pulled, and will not go back in. The contact hears a rubbing sound coming from the steering column. The instrument panel cluster has been replaced and the check engine light would remain illuminated. The current mileage was 29,000 and failure mileage was 10,229. Update 09/10/08 the lug nut caps were missing, the check engine light was on. The gas cap was not sealing. The dealer replaced the gas cap. Updated 09/15/08.

: the contact stated while driving various speeds during sunny road conditions, the gauges on the instrument panel were not visible due to poor illumination. Also, the pillars on the driver side created blind spots on both sides of the vehicle. It was taken to a service dealer, who determined that they would research the problem to see if there was recall on the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified.
