Accord Ex 2.2 Auto 2.2L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

cheap plastic radiators used in the manufacturing by Honda......Factory excuse is that it saves weight but it makes money for the dealerships and if you didn't notice the temperature gauge rising in time it would also have cost you for a new motor cause you melted a piston or warped or cracked the cylinder head either way its money in the dealers pockets and you get inconvenienced and it costs you a bundle to fix. The same sh*t with Acura I owned .....the plastic radiator cracked at the top so they know that its made of sh*t and will be cracked and leak coolant causing major problems and its only 80,000mls of usage.

Accord LX 2.2L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 135,000 miles

Top of radiator where there is the plastic part ended up cracking (WHY IN THE HELL DO THEY MAKE THIS PART PLASTIC?... ESPECIALLY WHEN LIGHT ALUMINUM IS AVAILABLE?)... So I bought a new one online and put it in myself, wasn't too difficult, there are a total of 4 pipe connections that were tough to get off but I managed to fix it myself.
