While driving down the freeway going about 40mph the accelorator stuck and continued to accel at uncontrolable speeds. The brake would not stop the car and I had to put it in neutral and slam on the gas pedal to release it. I have since taken the car to mel rapton Honda and spoke to the service manager who claims that he has never heard of this happening. It has not done it since. I had a mechanic check the accelerator cables as well as the cruise control cables and there were no apparent problems.

My crank shaft pulley bolt broke off damaging my whole engine. Honda estimates it will be approx. $5900 to fix. This is ridiculous since my car is practically new (1999) and I get all my servicing at the dealership!
