Accord ES 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

My Honda Accord airbag on the driver side deployed without any warning while driving. The car has never been in any accident. Honda did an electrical system check, according to the senior service manager and found NO problem with it. Had no idea why the driver bag deployed. The driving speed was less then 20 mph as I made a left turn from a stop light, 10 seconds after the turn that's when the driver's bag deployed. Honda want me to file a claim with the insurance company. I believe there is more defective driver's airbag out there.

SRS Light is continually on. According to dealer the airbag won't deploy while the light is on. They want to change quite a bit to diagnose the problem so I am just living with it...I guess I'll eat steering wheel if I get in a crash.

Accord 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 400 miles

Since I bought the car new in 2001 the light has been coming on. I had the car for about 3 months when it came on. It has been fixed several times under the warranty and once under some type of recall and then once after I had a car accident, but it always comes back on. I now do not have a warranty and don't feel that I should have to pay for something that has been a problem since I bought the car brand new. The reason I bought a new car was because my old car had a problem with the check engine light which annoyed me, now I have been annoyed by this car for 6 years! The Honda dealer (kuhn Honda in Tampa) is not very helpful. They want to charge for the "diagnostic" test even though their computer shows all of the times I have brought the car in for this problem. It doesn't need diagnosing, I know what the problem is, it needs fixing!!! I will never buy a Honda vehicle again!!!! (oh, and I tell everyone I know not to buy one also!)
