Accord SE

I have a 2000 Honda Accord and had the brake pads replaced for the first time in 2008, and rotor replaced in 2009. Every since then, the brake wears out and needs replacement once every 9-10 months. The mechanic said only genuine Honda parts are used. I guess the replacement parts are defective ever since the 2008 Accords were on the market. Does anyone else have similar problems?
