The cetral locking system works with the key, but not with the remote. I have replaced the batteries in the remote and tried re-programming it, but to no avail. A red warning light flashes on the dashboard which I have been told only indicates a fault as described but nothing more serious. I would be very greatful for any advice on how to fix this problem.

We use the trunk alot when shopping and by having to actually use the KEY in the lock to open it is a hassle.....using the Car Opener buttons is much easier. Don't know what the problem is and wondered if anyone else has experienced this before.
