There seems to be a problem with all the Honda installed radios when the car battery is replaced. The factory installed Radio/CD by Honda goes dead when a new battery is put in. For most Hondas there is a simple fix call the dealer and they will give you the code to punch in. This happened with my stepdaughters 2004 Honda Civic. However with my Accord I purchased it new from Kay Honda Eatontown, NJ,in 2001, when I tried to get the code they checked their records and they said they got it from another dealer(never said that when I bought it!) and they don't have the code. They told me to bring the car in for a few hours they would take the radio out to find the code to get it to work. I belong to AAA and get discounts and roadside service for battery problems so Honda and AAA don't mesh. Honda needs to get its act together and make note of this problem and make sure they supply code numbers to punch in when the battery is replaced. Another black eye for Honda and another black eye for Kay Honda in Eatontown, NJ.
