This car already has a bad tranny as it is, but now the engine is making weird noises. It sounds like the engine hasn't ran in years, but we use it almost every day. It happens at idle and it's really loud and annoying.

Accord LX Vetec 2.4L

My car has over-all been excellent. No major issues other than oil leaks from seals recently. Several hundred dollars to diagdose and repair though. The valve lifter noise at idle is very worrisome. I don't know quite what to do but I'm certain that it's not normal and may be potentially very problematic.
