I purchased my Honda under the assumption that it was a well built car and that I would have very few maintenance problems. Until recently, I have been very satisfied with my car. When it rains or if I take it through the car wash, there is definite evidence that there is a leak as my seat belts are soaked. I took it to the local dealership and they told me, after investigation, that they could not determine the cause of the leak and that they had never seen anything like it. They ordered the parts to seal the doors with at a cost of $200 to me and told me they would try this but if it did not solve the problem, they would have to take off the entire top of the car. God only knows how much that will cost!!!!!!. I just want the problem fixed and fixed now.

2004 Accord EXL V6 leaks just like the pictures sillymike post..right to a ( T ) !!!!

Some manufacturers (Honda, for example) only accept complaints where we also have your VIN. Otherwise they say your complaint is "unverifiable" & won't count it.

My Response to that is the water in my trunk don't lie,the slim on the tire don't lie.The Fact its a SAFETY thing.!!!You have a one of a kind fish tank..only thing,it your spare tire swelling in water..

First of all, I love my Honda Accord, and bought it about 1 year ago. My salesman was terrific, any time I had a problem, he is right there to do what needs done. About one month ago we had very heavy rain and I found water in the drivers side rear foot space. I baled out 2 quarts of water, and it took days for it to dry out. I checked everywhere, no sign of water anywhere except in the foot space. Another heavy rain, another bale out of water. Again I checked the trunk, door seals, Moon roof, Nothing anywhere that shows water marks.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing the water buildup in that solo location after a heavy rain? My next step is to contact the Honda company to see if others have had the same problem. Thank you for having this AutoBeef website.

I have a 2004 Honda Accord and every time it rains water leaks into the car on the driver side, front and back floor. The Honda dealership wanted to charge a lot money, but could not provide a solution. Contact Honda USA and the representative there was no help. This is the third time that I have taken it to an independent Honda mechanic and I still do not have a resolution. This last time I have an inch of water standing in the front and back floor of my car.
