The contact owns a 2004 Honda Accord. Nokian wr tires. The tread was measured and only half of it remained. He spoke with the tire manufacturer and they stated that the failure was a blemish, not a defect. The current mileage was 118,000 and failure mileage was 25,000. Updated 12/12/07 the consumer stated there is a concern of premature wear of specific tread components. The consumer has not experienced a failure. The consumer stated the manufacturer was not willing to admit there is a problem with the tires. The consumer was informed the tires contained blemishes which was isolated and the tires were not considered defective. Updated
