Accord EX 4 cyl

  • Manual transmission
  • 18,000 miles

Purchased my 2011 Honda Accord brand new. After 2 years, the AC went out. The heater worked fine, but the AC would blow warm or car temperature air. Called the Honda dealership and they explained that a rock most likely hit my condenser or punctured one of the hoses.

If I were to get this fixed, who is to say it wouldn't occur again and what was Honda going to do to prevent it? If this happened again the future, the car would no longer be covered under warranty. This means you would be charged for the service diagnosis for bring it in for an inspection, and would have to pay to get a part of the car fixed that Honda failed to protect when they designed the car.

Such an unsettling feeling. You can't but feel like Honda is strategically doing this to rip of consumers.

Accord EX 3.2L

Got our 2011 Honda accord ex sedan in year 2011 new, in August of 2012 we started having problem with the air conditioner and heater fan, there was a little cool air coming out and it was hot! We took it in at a Honda Dealer for service, cost us $149.00 to fix it. It was okay for awhile, then this summer in July, it started to loose cold air again. In August 2013 it started to make noise when you turn on the AC, turn it to max cuz there was only cool air coming out, it continue into September when it finally stopped turning on. No fan turns on, no AC and it was very hot, hot in the vehicle. We don't want to take it in again cuz we know now that it is defected. This vehicle 2011 Honda Accord with VIN: IHGCP2F7XBA045437 should be added to the recall list of 2011 48,000 Honda Accord. Thank you for your help!
