Accord Sport

  • CVT transmission
  • 24,000 miles

Low harmonic noise, very noticeable at low speeds 10-40 mph. At high way speeds, the road noise is higher than the noise coming the wheels. So less noticeable at high way speeds. But it is very annoying on city roads. And on smooth high way roads. Some times, it feels very unsafe to drive.

Asked the dealer to check on this. He told me to change the front tires (less than 2 years?24,000 miles?).

I did change the tires (spent 165$ each on continental pure contact). Nothing really changed. Still the same harmonic noise coming from the wheels.

Don't know what to do!!

Accord EX 4cl

  • Automatic transmission

I want others who own these cars to know of the potential problem. Frustration is due to the age of my car and low mileage to have something like wheel bears needing replaced at 21K - 22k miles.
