The malfunctioning component is the electronic door lock system of my 2019 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid, specifically the driver's side door. This problem persists and is available for inspection. The failure of this system posed a safety risk as it prevents secure access and egress from the vehicle. I was unable to unlock my vehicle using the electronic key fob or the interior lock/unlock button, which could pose a problem in emergency situations where quick exit from the vehicle is required. The problem has been reproduced over a period of 6-8 weeks, with the issue becoming consistent and isolated to the driver's side door. The issue has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center yet, nor has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. My car has recently aged out of warranty and given the experiences of others online, I don't have the money to hand over to the dealer for diagnostic fees with zero resolution. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior to the issue's occurrence. It started sporadically, sometimes affecting different doors, but in recent weeks, it has been a consistent problem with the driver's door. This problem isn't exclusive to my vehicle. I've read online forums where others, even with different models of Honda Accords, have encountered similar issues, suggesting this could be a common issue across certain models. One person described a similar, erratic door lock behavior where the failure would switch from door to door. It was speculated that the issue could be either software-related or potentially a faulty relay that couldn't supply power to all the actuators simultaneously. Given these circumstances, I think it's crucial to investigate this matter further, as it poses both a security and safety risk for Honda Accord users.

On 01-31-2023 at 5pm my Accord (2019, 27k miles) experienced a limp mode condition on the Highway forcing me to pull over onto the shoulder and restart the car. I was traveling for 4+ hours in rain / misting rain on the way to North Carolina for a business trip. I went to pass a slow moving vehicle, and the car-€™s check engine light began to flash 2 seconds after I hit the accelerator. The car-€™s check engine light began to flash and the car would not exceed 40mph, indicating it had entered a limp mode condition. This forced me to pull over onto the shoulder. After a restart, the car performed as normal with no CEL. I took the car to Advance Auto parts to see if the ECU captured any codes - 3 -€œpending-€ codes were stored - P0300 random misfire, P0301 Cylinder 1 misfire, P0304 Cylinder 4 misfire. I took the car to Shockley Honda in Frederick MD on 02/06/2023 and the pending codes had cleared / a diagnosis of possible traction control engagement was given - I am 100% certain this was the check engine light / limp mode, and that this is an incorrect diagnosis. Honda has a TSB for this exact issue: https://www.driveaccord.net/attachments/a21-052-pdf.531063/ Additionally I have dash camera footage to collaborate my account of events, including the event occurring; pulling over on the side of the road; and the trip to advance auto, where you can hear me reading the codes Car entering limp mode on highway: https://youtu.be/1E9RKIH-MnM Drive to advance auto: https://youtu.be/esqrADVXfsA Reading codes: https://youtu.be/5fN10jBiChw Multiple other owners have experienced similar issues in similar weather conditions in their 2.0T Accords https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/check-engine-light-cel-in-the-rain-went-into-limp-mode.502130/page-11 This incident lead to unsafe vehicle operation through a loss of power scenario in adverse weather. Honda customer service and the dealer have so far failed to address the issue in the TSB per my insistence.

As I was driving down the interstate, it had been raining hard, but the speed had increased and we were going around 70-75, speed limit 70. I was in the far left lane when the lane all of a sudden was ending. I had to work my way over fast, so i kicked it to move over to the next lane, and when i did, I lost ALL power in the vehicle. I was terrified !! I did have enough speed to get over one lane but there was a lot of traffic and i had to get over another one to stop on the shoulder. It was close but we did get over and stop without causing an accident. If I had of hit someone or someone hit me, it would have been a multi car accident with all the traffic and probably someone being killed, including my husband and I. This needs to be investigate before someone is killed.

My car was initially at Performance Honda due to engine failure on June 24, 2022. They called on July 20, 2022 and confirmed that my car engine was repaired and I picked it up on July 20, 2022. Then on July 23, 2022, I incurred the same engine failures as noted by the warning and error lights on my display panel. The car started slowing down while I was on the expressway creating a safety hazard but I was able to drive it to Performance Honda. The manager explained that the car needed a turbo and they had to asked Honda to approve the purchase to install it into my car. I dont know if the turbo is new or used or even under warranty but Performance Honda contacted me on August 8 and said again the engine was repaired. I've read where there are other owners experiencing similar issues. My car was still within warranty of my purchase date July 17, 2019 and the repairs were made under the warranty but I still incurred rental car expenses that have not been reimbursed to date.

When I was driving during a storm on June 24, 2022, the numerous warning readings flashed on my dashboard. My car begin to slow down until it completely stalled. I was able to restart the car and drive it off the main road and it stalled again. AAA tolled my car to Performance Honda. I have a 2019 Honda Accord EX purchased July 17, 2019 with 35014 miles. Honda explained that the engine had lost oil and the engine was completely inoperable.

Door lock actuator of 1 door out of 4 is gets stuck between open and close positions (brainfart) mode and won't respond to center lock/unlock. It won't unlock with the fob from outside or respond to door unlock button from inside. If I am inside the car, I have to brush my hand against the physical lock latch simultaneously with pressing the unlock switch. I am afraid in case of an accident, the door may not open as normal. Apparently this is a common problem as I have searched many HONDA online forums.

This vehicle has a safety issue when it comes to snow on the ground and driving on a hill/incline. I was driving my vehicle through snow in the Ohio/WV region and when I tried to drive up a hill with snow on the ground the vehicle stopped. The vehicle would not accelerate and it seemed the engine just shut off. So I put the car in neutral and pushed the gas and I was correct the engine had no RPMs. This caused a huge safety issue to myself and the people driving near me. As I had ZERO control over the vehicle on an incline. The cars coming toward me and the ones behind me had ZERO issues with their vehicles going up this hillside. I tried three times to shut car off and back on so it would give me a few seconds of acceleration, allowing me to get up the hill a few more feet before shutting off again and possibly causing an accident. When I took it to my Honda dealer they stated computer showed no issues with the vehicle. And they have not heard of the engine shutting down or not having RPMs with snow on the ground. They recommended that I have tracking control off next time allowing me full control vs. the computer of the car however, I DID have it off. Once they heard that statement they informed me I have no other options. Honda did tell me when driving in snow other messages can go off and the car is still SAFE to drive. Which it needs to be as this area has tons of snow. However, that is not the case if the car just shuts off. Prior to the issue, the car kept beeping non stop with warning of break system & adaptive cruise control. My sensors were wiped off prior to the car shutting off. Yet again you can't keep a sensor spotless driving on a highway with snow. Two of the warning lights that showed on my dashboard were not listed in the manual. I am now afraid to drive my vehicle with any snow coming down. I have been a Honda owner since the 90's and I no longer trust this brand.

Upon accelerating on a highway, the malfunction indicator light came on and the car lost power. Without drive power it was very dangerous to maneuver to exit the freeway. The dealership recognized that this was due to issues with the intercooler and PGM-FI software for this vehicle and is spelled out in a technical service bulletin (Honda 21-052). However, even though the car is under the original warranty, they want to charge over $250 for the repair.

Vehicle repeatedly experiences a "cylinder misfire error" when driving above 45 mph. The check engine light will flash and the car surges like it is stalling. Loss of the ability to accelerate when it occurs. Also, the car shakes violently when the vehicle comes to a stop before turning off the engine. Many times, after restarting problem temporarily stops. I have taken it to the dealership multiple times, but problem is unsolved. Happens at least once a week. Started at 58,000 miles. More recently, the vehicle experiences a safety system failure when driving above 45 mph. 10 system warning lights were activated and will continually appear on instrument panel. Warning lights activated: 1. Hill Start Assist Problem 2. Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem 3. Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem 4. Road Departure Mitigation System Problem 5. Emission System Problem 6. Tire Pressure Monitor System Problem 7.Brake System Problem 8. Electric Power Steering System Problem 9.Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem 10. I had to boost my brothers vehicle because his battery was dead. Ever since then, the "charging system failure" notification has been on. Been on for about 1.5 years. Have not noticed any issues with the car but can't get the indicator to go off without bringing it to the Honda dealer and paying $150 for them to "check it."

Randomly my vehicles LKAS, ACC, blind spot monitoring will go out with a message to visit dealer. Also my exterior headlight controls won't work, turn signal stops working, backup camera stops working, rear trunk control, rear defroster. All steering wheel controls stop working as well. This can last for a couple days or as short as a few minutes. Every time I have taken it to the dealer the problem has 'fixed' itself and they can not find any errors. I have two videos I can share showing the errors. I did do a screen shot of the errors from the video and uploaded.
