Beginning approximately one year from date of purchase, my moon roof began to rattle when driving, both opened and closed. I took it to my Honda dealership and they replaced a bolt. Approximately 4 months later, it had worked itself out again but the dealership did not have the time to address it on that visit. I took it back 2 weeks later and they replaced the entire moon roof mechanism. Three months later, I returned with the same rattle and they tightened the bolt and said nothing else could be done, that I would have to deal with it. I lodged a complaint with the Honda corporation and they told me to take it to a different Honda dealership, lie to them and tell them this was the first time it was going to be addressed and see what they thought. I did not lie to them, but they heard the rattle. They said it seemed to be a recurring problem with this Honda model and that I could apply oil to help with the rattle, otherwise I would just have to deal with it for the duration of the car. The oil has not helped.

While driving down the interstate at 75 miles an hour, the moon roof on my 2004 Honda CRV shattered. It looks as if the moon roof was lifted from the car and has a concave shape.
