The rear door falls off the vehicle when you open the door. There is only one hinge holding the door onto the body. It is mounted halfway down the door and is external and exposed to the weather. When you open the door the metal pin that holds the hinge together has completely rusted inside the hinge and is completely broken half way down inside the hinge, so that when you open the door the hinge pulls apart and the door falls off the body. This rear door is the rear hatch opening access to the rear of the vehicle. It covers the entire rear of the vehicle from the roof to the floor and from the left side to the right side. It opens from the left to the right. I can't get the rusted pin out because it has turned into a solid piece of rusted metal inside the hinge. The newer versions of the CRV have a hatch that is double-hinged from the roof and opens from bottom to top.

Hood on car opened while driving on highway - without warning - had to stop car immediately due to fact of not being able to see. No one was injured, thank goodness because my wife and daughter were in the car, but there is damage to vehicle. Car is leased vehicle and I do not want to be charged for repair.
