All 5 automatic door locks failed to open causing me to be locked inside the car. After many minutes and retrying the key fob I was able to exit via the front passenger door. Later that same day once returning home I was locked out of all 5 doors. The car was towed and the left front door and right rear door actuators were replaced. These had previously been recalled and replaced on extended warrenty in 2015. The failure of the locks this last week are acutally the Honda approved replacements. The problem was reproduced by the repairing garage. Odd sounds from the doors had been heard prior to the breakdown.

On June 14, 2014 I was run on the road into a utility pole.by another driver. My airbag exploded with abrasions to my rt arm and chest. My doors on both sides locked on me while fumes from under the hood were filling my interior. The police had to pry the door open.to get me out. I later started having pain in my chest and found out that cartilage broke away from my chest cavity--costochondritis. The car was totalled, but I was advised to check the recall on that make and model. I found two recalls that it seemed just happened. I don't know how long these airbag problems existed. I bought another Honda and checked for recalls on my 2014 CRV. So far none have been noted. I love my car, but what should I do about recalls on this one.

The SRS and seat belt systems are not functioning as expected. The warning lights came on, and Honda advises we need a new side impact air bag as system has failed. Honda will not replace this without charge of over $1000. Car has less than 100000 miles on it, how can the manufacturer not be responsible for lifetime warranty on a safety system" shouldn't that be a federal regulation- that the safety systems be warrantied for life? how can a manufacturer not stand behind its safety system" per the internet, this is not an isolated problem with Honda. A recall on this very issue for other models was done, but despite the similar issue, no recall has occurred on this model. This seems like it needs investigation.

The passenger side seat belt locks and does not allow reasonable free movement of the passenger. This premature locking occurs while the passenger is sitting normally in the passenger seat and causes my spouse or I to refrain from using the passenger safety/seat belt. Agencies promote safety and mandatory use but the design causes one to neglect wearing it and I'm an advocate for wearing my seat belt in my 2008 Honda CR-V unless I'm in the passenger seat. Also, does this locking pose a safety issue in itself during a sudden stop frontal collision?

I am the owner of a 2008 Honda CRV. After a minor accident, I was told by the Honda service in December 2009 that I needed to replace airbag sensors and my driver's side seat belt buckle. Subsequently, the driver's side seat belt became stuck 3/4 out and I was told that it needed to be replaced. The dealer then told me that it could not obtain the part from american Honda. This fact was confirmed by another dealer. The dealer then stated that the part might be available on January 13, then postponed until January 23 and now postponed until February 3. the driver's side seat belt is a basic part required for the safe operation of the vehicle. The Honda CRV is one of that company's most popular models. I and I am sure others are left with cars that cannot be safely driven. This is an outrageous situation.

I had an accident Dec 9, 2008 in my 2008 Honda CR-V. I took it to the body shop the next day. The repair should have taken 10 days. The body shop found that the seatbelt jammed & didn't deploy like it should have, so needed to replace the buckle. The buckle is a controlled part, has to be ordered by VIN# & was on back order, they will not overnight it either. It took 2 weeks to come in (on emergency order), my body shop would not let me have it back til the seatbelt worked. Finally got the seatbelt buckle in & something was still wrong. My body shop guy took it to a Honda dealer (trickett Honda in nashville, tn) & left it. The Honda dealer said the SRS box had to be replaced, said it was part of a recall, so had to order the SRS box & wait for it. Honda wasn't going to release the new SRS box's till Jan. 16th. Then when the SRS was replaced it indicated the passenger front seatbelt buckle was bad, part of the recall. Had to wait another week for it to come in on emergency order. Finally got my Honda back on Jan 22, 2009. My insurance paid for a rental 30 days & then I had to pay for 15 days. Now I am trying to get Honda of America to pay for the 15 days I had to pay for a rental. A friends brother works for Honda in ky& also said there was a recall because the seatbelts were jamming. Yet there is not a recall posted anywhere for this. My case manager at Honda of America (antonio "tony' gonzales) said there is not a recall on my car. I asked him for his supervisor when I wasn't getting anywhere, he said I couldn't talk to his supervisor, not part of the procedure. I had to go off on him to get him to refer it to a senior case manager. Then he finally said I could fax him my paid car rental bill & he'd see if I could be reimbursed. Enterprise faxed him a copy of the bill on Jan 22, 2009 for me.
