2010 Honda CRV. Consumer states unintended acceleration the consumer stated as he/she slowed down with his/her foot on the brake to park, the vehicle continued in motion. Before the consumer realized what was happening, she/he had already hit a fence, which ripped the bumper from the vehicle. The consumer received a recall notice and believed the recall was the reason he/she experienced the failure.

The contact owns a 2010 Honda CR-V. the contact started the ignition, and shifted into park with the brake pedal engaged, suddenly the vehicle surged forward. The intermittent failure occurred whenever shifting into the park position. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer six times for the identical failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The technician stated the failure was common and the vehicle operated normally. The contact stated there was a recall related to the defect under NHTSA campaign id number 11V395000 (power train: Automatic transmission: Control module (tcm, PCM); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 1,465.... updated 09/19/11 the consumer stated the vehicle would lunged forward intermittently. The RPM's would fluctuate. There was fluid leaking from the vehicle and there was a vibration upon acceleration. Updated 01/19/12
