problem #1

May 302021

CR-V LX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

Perfectly maintained vehicle of which I am the sole owner. All routine maintenance, service including pro-active early 60K mileage service completed. Never once was I advised of this problem EVEN after the dealership changed my lease to loan in 2018 and sold the car "back" to me as a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED with no outstanding items of concern.

Stranded with no warning with my dog and I 70 plus miles from home. At 65,000 the water pump seized, SNAPPED the perfectly good belt, which split the reservoir tank and caused immediate overheating of vehicle. Thankfully no fire but now they are saying over $1600 to fix. New water pump, serpentine, coolant tank, coolant & thermostat.

No - you may not convert a new lease purchase to loan with this known issue, sell me a $2,0000 PLUS Platinum warranty and NEVER take care of known issues.

SHAME ON YOU HONDA - I have driven ONLY Honda's for 30 years. Once repairs are done, I will be leaving Honda once and for all along with advising ALL regulatory agencies of CERTIFIED dealerships THAT CONTINUE TO DO THIS TO UNEXPECTING AND TRUSTING CONSUMERS. My Honda had been services by 3 certified dealerships - seems like they want to AVOID the problems instead of sharing this safety info with vehicle owners that could be seriously injured due to this INTENT NEGLIGENCE!!
