Airbags did not deploy during car accident and are not available for inspection as car was totaled. My safety and the safety of other passengers were put at risk the driver was slammed forward since the car got rear ended and the driver's chest was slammed into the steering wheel; medical attention was required and injuries were sustainted. The other two passenger also required medical attention and sustained injuries one to their neck and the other to their head, chest, and back. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by the dealer or an independent service center as the car is totaled and signed over to insurance. The vehicle was inspected by police onsite shortly after the car accident and an insurance representative will pick up the vehicle tomorrow. Warning lamps/messages: unknown.

Dash showed a problem with the Supplemental Restraint Issue. The car was taken to our local Honda dealer. After three days of diagnosis, trial and error and almost a $1500 charge the driver-??s side Airbag was found to be the problem and replaced. This car had just over 31000 miles. It had been garaged since purchased and was never in an accident. Why should an Airbag such as above need to be replaced unless it was defective. Why aren-??t error codes more specific? Makes you wonder what would have happened if, heaven forbid, there had been an accident. Would this safety feature have deployed. I know there have been recalls of many such safety devices in the past and I believe there may have been a problem with Honda Airbags previously. Perhaps an expansion of this issue is needed. I have contacted Honda with the complaint and they rejected any responsibility.

I have 2017 Honda CRV. I observed that my driver sear cushion is deformed. I took my vehicle to Honda dealer they inspected and said my cushion is deformed and airbag is loose. I called honda and they said they will investigate the issue, they investigated the issue and came back with comments that seat frame is bent and due to vehicle is outside warranty they can-??t repair it. I checked online and found that people reported same issue in 2017 and honda fixed those issues. see - https://www.crvownersclub.com/threads/driver-seat-foam-displaced.130089/ Now I feel many people like me would have same issue and possible that they even dont know that air bag is loose and I believe its a safety issue. I feel someone should investigate this matter. I found this site and thought of sharing this. I observed this distortion of foam cushion since I bought my car but never gave any attentions to take it to dealer for checkup. I deeply regret it and now I am worried that this loose airbag is a safety issue. I AM SURE THIS ISSUE IS WITH MANY HONDA CRV 2017 CARS AND DRIVERS EVEN DONT KNOW THAT AIR BAG IS LOOSE. PLEASE INVESTIGATE. when I was on the call with honda representative I felt helpless as they were like its your mistake, our dealer said its because of outside influence and we cant fix it. I bought this car as new and it was never in any kind of accident. THEY ARE NOT READY TO ACCEPT THAT IT-??S A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. PLEASE HELP

I cannot check off enough of the listings of problems with this car. I believe that they are all connected to one central computer malfunction in the vehicle ADAS system. This car was purchased new I first reported it to Honda we had 500 miles on the car. made periodic completes since with the only answer provided was nothing wrong however they did perform a radio update wow. So the problem is I have every warning light going off in the car from lane departure, hill assist start, front end collision, Brakes, airbags, Engine, cruise control, stability along with others. afraid to drive the car for i am not sure what the computer is going to do next accelerate or sudden stop. I can provide vehicle for inspection the symptoms are sporadic

On Thursday, February 17, 2022, I drove home from work in Waycross, Georgia. I was driving my properly-maintained 2017 Honda CRV. I was wearing my seat belt, and the shoulder harness was properly secured across my chest. The day was clear, and at 4:03 p.m., I approached the intersection of Jenkins St, Tebeau St, Plant Ave, and Francis St. This intersection is in the downtown area; it is treated like a perpendicular intersection, although, as you can see from the attached photo, it is not, in fact, perpendicular. There are stop signs on Jenkins and Tebeau; travelers on Plant and Francis do not have to stop. Because of how Francis Street curves onto Plant, and because of the fact that Francis emerges from under an overpass, visibility is poor. I was on Francis St, which becomes Plant Ave headed east. A construction worker driving a 2016 Chevy Silverado K350 TK was fully stopped at the stop sign at the Jenkins St intersection. After stopping, he pulled into the intersection, T-boning my CRV and sending it into a series of spins. My head violently hit the window several times as the vehicle spun. When the CRV finally stopped, my first thought was, "Where are The airbags?" Side curtain airbags had deployed on the passenger side of the vehicle, but no airbags had deployed on the driver's side anywhere--or from the steering wheel. An ambulance took me to the local emergency room. I have a concussion. Had the airbags deployed as expected, that might not be the case. My safety was put at risk by the airbags' failure to deploy--basic physics requires that in a violent collision, the driver is protected after being propelled into the door and window. The CRV is in a Copart lot. I have requested that it be kept available for inspection. The CRV was deemed totaled; I do not know if anyone inspected the airbags. There were no prior warnings. During the instrument panel went berserk. Multiple error messages flashed simultaneously, despite the front end not being hit.

My 2017 Honda CR-V had a noise coming from the steering wheel. My local Honda dealer Wesley Chapel Honda diagnosed the problem and found out that the defective part is the "cable reel" in the steering wheel of the car. This defective cable reel is related to the air bag and could pose serious safety issues. Honda has issued a Recall for the same part "cable reel" for 2019 CR-V all trims (Service Bulletin 19-062). In my case, the problem is caused by the same defective part "cable reel"and should be recalled by Honda and fixed for me as soon as possible. Honda North America should extend their recall to cover more CR-Vs using the same defective part.

We purchased this car used with just at 40,000 miles and it passed inspection without any codes. After owning it less than two weeks, my son was driving it with his brother in the front passenger seat and they luckily noticed the PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF LIGHT WAS STILL ON even though his brother is 145lbs and should easily activate the airbag system. We took this to the Dealer and they stated that the air bag seat sensor was showing "-19lbs with no one seated in it" and not registering proper weight of passenger. The dealership then reset the sensor mat, but the issue returned within 2 days of getting it back. The Dealer is asking $1,000 to repair this as it is just over the 36 month warranty period. The reason I am reporting this is I own a 2017 Porsche Macan and they have recalled it for the same reason and I see this as a safety issue for the passenger, not a regular repair. Last it is concerning that a major safety system like this can fail in this situation and not show a code or alert the owner of the car better than this light. This MAJOR safety issue relies on the owner/driver to notice the "Passenger airbag off" light is illuminated with a adult weight passenger onboard which is always on when there is no passenger in the car, so this seems like it can lead to situations like this when the system is not working as designed. The location of the light and lack of any other warning can lead to this warning light being missed and people not being protected in an accident by the airbag.

Entire operation system for vehicle was affected causing immediate vehicle failure. Unable to pull over or move out of traffic. Extremely dangerous malfunction with complete loss of control at high speed with no warning. All dash lights lit up/blinking. Many system errors displayed on main driver screen near steering wheel. The screen errors quickly read through multiple errors, including power steering loss, tire pressure loss, hill control loss, etc. The screens were going so quickly and car was beeping like it had low gas. But the only thing we could do was get to the side of the highway. We have driven thousands of miles in many types of cars and situations and this was by far one of the worst malfunctions we have ever experienced. If there is an electronic problem or situation where your car is breaking then it should say pull over immedately. It was no help to flash through an array of features on the car having error. This needs to be recalled!

Three issues - 1 - the knob on my shift broke and popped off. The plastic broke, and rendered the button useless. 2 - the passenger side airbag works intermittently. Does not seem to be impacted by weight, but the light comes on sometimes other times it does not. 3 - the side panel of the seat that holds the electronics for the seat popped off and does not go back on. Another junk piece of plastic. This has caused the seat to adjust unexpectedly.

After the car screening you are in crash I was a wake not sure how it stoped and was in shock for not sure how long then I saw a message on the screen saying contacting Honda but nothing happen. I try to touch it but it not work. I stoped the car moved the key then try to find my telephone thank fully my charger cord was on and I pulled it from behind seat I called 911 then the police took it from there. 2017 CRV AWD 2 months into owning all lights on dash like brake system engine air bags, tirer, brake. I see spots of oil driveway but oil is always full. Stalls sometimes when taking off. The other day the back wheels locked up causing the SUV to stop in middle of road, and couldnt move forward or backwards. The SUV swag side to side causing backend to slide sisde to side. Making it very hard to keep the SUV on the road. I have called about the dash lights all of them on and they said it needed to be rest. Smell gas inside the SUV. I had a 2006 Honda civic brought it new I never had a problem out of it going 300,000 miles with no problems thats why I chose to get another Honda, but with 2017 Honda CRV has been hell with all the issues and is a safety concern.
