problem #2

Jun 012019

CR-V Touring

  • Automatic transmission
  • 621 miles

I have received my Honda CR 2019 on 29 May 2019. I have also asked them to do tinting 50% since the Sun here is too hot in Dubai, UAE.

The first two days I felt that is not working and there was a hissing sound, so I returned the car after two days and the salesman took a test drive with me and he agreed that the AC is not working properly and there is hissing sound.

They took it and they told me we are sorry, there was an o-ring that needs to be replaced and this was the cause of the leak, and that's why the AC was not cooling. When I took the car back it was cooling but not ideally and then there was still a hissing sound. I took it to the 1000 KM service and i told this to the service agent. They checked it and they told me there is a hissing sound because there was a gas leak which we fixed it.

After 2 weeks, the hissing sound came back and the the control of the AC, even without the Auto button is being pushed - the speed of the AC is changing without being instructed and if the Auto button of the AC is off.

I took back to the service center and I insisted that the I want a replacement car another CRV to compare. In the one that I have now the AC is a lot better.

Please can one advise me what to do? Has anyone faced the same issue?

Jun 192021

CR-V Touring

  • Automatic transmission
  • 17,652 miles

6-2021 at 17,657 miles had to have complete new AC system installed. System compressor had major leak from front shaft seal, so they replaced clutch, coil set which was saturated in oil. Covered under warranty.

NOT UNDER WARRANTY!

Now 6-22 at 29,500 miles the system isn't working AGAIN. Still waiting to see what cause is.

Update from Jun 12, 2022: Dealer replaced almost the entire AC system under warranty.

Update from Jun 30, 2022: Sorry,................ it appears this latest problem was operator error. Just needed to push the correct buttons in the correct order.
