Civic LX 4 cyl

We bought the car then while driving home, the "check engine" light came on. We stopped at O'Reilly where they plugged in the reader which shows 5 codes. Transmission Mechanic said he had 2 Hondas with metal shards in the trans and this could be the same but he needs to test it for $199, so we haven't done that test.
