Civic DX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57 miles

I already had the same transmission problem "slipping" and "2nd gear shift (shock)" problem when I bought this CIVIC 1996 DX brand new(14years ago) at Robertson HONDA North Hollowood. I ask the same dealer to exchange to another one. They said sorry cars are not like computers. They tried to repair/fix but didn't find anything wrong. They said HONDA makes good cars. I tried to solve the problem myself. Three mechanics from BBB and a lady(?) from HONDA corporation in Torrance California and I were together driving my car and see what is problem. Three mechanics didn't find anything wrong. My car was less than 100000 miles until last month(2009 May). It all happen 14 years ago!!!! I need to buy a new car now. No more cars and people from HONDA corporation and its dealers!!

Civic

  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,000 miles

Well, I realize that this car is 140000 miles and its a 1996 but I just bought it one week ago for $3100 dollars. They told me to bring it in tomorrow but they don't think its a big deal and they said "well, it is 14 years old." They will look at it but still seem to be blowing it off. I looked under the lemon law for new york and its bull!!! Lemon law only covers car that are 100000 miles or less. They better not give us problems but I don't see anything working out in my favor by the way their attitude was to me. I also bought a 2007 jeep commander from them less than a year ago so they are burning any future bridges if they dont help me. they are transitowne Dodge of transit rd williamsville area. The transmission keeps slipping...revving up and catching when I accelerate. Any comments?
