Civic EX 1.7L

I went to Avalon Honda after an oil change at Boardwalk Honda cost me a new transmission. I was told at Boardwalk that the SRS light was just a safety belt switch problem . And they said they replaced it???

Well the SRS light is back on and I took it to Avalon Honda and they said it was a bad SRS computer and it would cost 700 dollars to fix but they would give me a discount ???. I checked on line and noticed that even a new computer module was only 200 dollars. I told the dealer I would take care of it . I brought the car home and began to disassemble it to get to the computer and every bolt was factory tight, not even a scratch on any of the screws . The service manager told me that the mechanic had taken the computer out ????

I guess I will have to get the tester to read the codes so I can find out if the computer is sending the code or the dealer was sending the 700 dollar code. NO MORE HONDAS. I even bought a new car from this dealer and they kept calling and sending info that I needed service on my new Honda. I asked the service manager if they needed to do more than change the oil and filter he said no other service was required. I guess I don't blame the service manager, after all the Manufacture Honda told me it was my problem when Boardwalk Honda Dumped my transmission and over filled my engine with oil which destroyed my transmission. I guess what I am trying to tell everyone lease your car or when you buy a car find a private mechanic to fix your car. The Honda Dealerships are unreliable .

I have repaired my own car for years I worked with my dad who was a auto mechanic for 25 years. I just can not believe the total dishonesty these dealers will try.
