I bought my certified used Honda Civic in June of 07. Two months later I go to start it and it won't start. I have to get it jumped and it runs like a champ. I take it to honda and they say there is a problem with the relays in some 2003 honda civics. They replace the relays and it runs smoothly... until I leave it parked for a week. Once again it is dead, and has to get jumped. What is the problem here? They checked the alternator and it came back fine! I don't get it! So now I have to leave it there for a WEEK for them to assess the problem. Any ideas here?

I went to start my CERTIFIED used honda civic one morning and it wouldn't start. I had just bought the car not even two months ago! I took it to honda under my certified warranty and they replaced the relays. Ran good until I had to leave it parked for a week and it did it again.

Just finished driving back from US to Canada, parked the car and then it wouldn't start. No radio, no clicking, no grrring.... nothing. Had to get the starter replaced due to electrical problem.

Now, 6 months later the same thing is happening. Hope my extended warranty is still valid. Guess I'll be up for starter #3. Funny thing is, they recalled my 1999 Civic for a starter problem right after I gave it back. Wonder if they'll wait to recall AGAIN after leases have expired. Guess they expect everyone to buy the extended warranty.

Looks like it's time to ditch my Honda.....
