The paint on the roof and hood of the vehicle is peeling and fading badly and the car look awful. I purchased the vehicle used so I only acquired the vehicle recently to submit a complaint.

No more Honda for us unless they fix this problem and we will inform what problems we have experienced with Honda in our entire lives. We own two Hondas now. I showed my loyalty to Honda since I trusted them but this is not what I expected from them. I hope they take responsibility about their manufacturing defects and keep and earn more customers for the future.

I find it really irresponsible of Honda to ignore an issue that is pervasive with their older cars. The degree of paint degradation on our Honda Civic is horrible! I've seen so MANY posts and pictures with the same exact issue.
And the "response" from Honda is ridiculous. I have 3 cars, 2000 Jeep, 2001 Ford and this 2004 Civic. All my cars are maintained and parked in the same driveway. To say that the paint peeling is due to miscare or "too much time parked outside" is baloney. My AMERICAN made cars have NO issues with paint peeling, and what should be the quality JAPANESE car... isn't!
Do these complaints really make it to Honda? Because if they do I don't understand why they are not doing something about this for their customers AND their cars. I thought Honda was a quality car company, guess not. Needless to say, no MORE HONDAs for this family.

The paint is bad.. you the paint on so Hondas for cost of these car the paint should fixed.

Paint and clear coat are awful. Read where several HUNDRED others have this problem from Honda for 2000-2008 models. There is actually a class action lawsuit over the paint jobs on these year models.

Can't believe that my 2004 Honda Civic only has 27,000 miles on it and the paint is peeling off very badly! The roof looks horrible, like a disease! Paint is just flaking right off! Off of the trunk and around the back window, on the sides. There should be something done about this & they should fix it!
I could probably get a lot for my car if I wanted to sell it, if the paint wasn't peeling! I'm so aggravated!

I am very disappointed that my nice car is looking like crap. I cannot afford to have my car painted and fixed so it looks like it should.

I never understood why my paint was literally peeling off my car, after only having it at 50,000 miles. A 2004 Honda Civic Fiji Blue. And when I saw others around town with the same exact problem, it almost made me laugh. Honda fooled all of us. Yes, wonderful mileage. A great running car. But really? You're making us all look like hobos. It's awful to drive it on all my road trips, going to stay in nice hotels and I have to drive around in something that looks like a clunker. I take care of my Honda, but Honda didn't do a good job of taking care of me. Regretting my decision to buy a car from a company that won't invest in the customer's needs. I don't want to pay for a paint job, time to trade in and trade to a new brand of car.

Paint began peeling on both sides of rear window around trim. Then around the rear side windows. Now paint is bubbling on roof. Car was bought new and never repainted.

I showed the problem to the dealer, splotches of white on the roof and a strip of paint peeling off the roof and around the windows. I bought the car from, Larry Hopkins in Sunnyvale CA. They made a note of it and told me to call American Honda Customer Service. Customer Service referred me back to Larry Hopkins who once again told me to go back to Customer Service. Customer Service this time gave me a complaints number and had an agent call me back. They said that there was no recourse, 36,000miles was the limit on mileage for doing anything and there had been no other complaints. I mentioned the problem with Midnight Blue Odysseys they said different paint. My car is a dark blue called Fiji Pearl. The Odyssey paint number is B529P whereas mine is B92P. They completely stonewalled me. I'm going to have to have my car repainted because the paint is gone to the metal. So now after 3 Hondas in the family I'm moving to Toyota.

I just noticed my honda, the paint is chipping away around the windows, the hood is starting to fade, I have owned this car since new, not too thrilled about the condition of the paint, car is waxed on a regular basis.
