Civic DXG 4L

minor annoyance that I had to prove that the brake drum they put in was faulty and it would only 'show itself' in a peculiar noisy way when the brakes were warmed up.

Civic LX 1.7L I4

Whenever I am about to come to a stop, there's this sound like, "Wooooo", followed by a sort of grinding sound. When I had the brakes checked back in late May of this year, the technician said he didn't hear anything. He went on to say at the time, "Whatever was making the noise, it's gone now." He said that the techs checked the rotors and everything was fine. I went in to see about the problem because I thought the sound had something to do with the brakes needing to be replaced. But, the service adviser showed me the brake conditions to assure me that the sound had nothing to do with the brakes going bad.

Well, upon leaving the dealership, at first, there was no sound. Then it came back again. At this point, I'm not sure whether it could possibly have something to do with tire wear or it's just a mystery sound that comes with a car's aging.. Unfortunately, I don't have the resources at this time to look further into the issue. One thing's for sure: I'll NEVER buy another Honda Civic!!
