Civic

  • Automatic transmission

I also have a similar problem as the people below. My odometer and gas gauge work but everything else shuts off. Also, my battery and check engine lights are on and won't go off. The battery and alternator were both checked 2X and were charged just right. My local mechanic gave me the car back unfixed. Said he couldn't figure it out." But did say he thought it was over charging.

I have the exact same problems as the owner of the 2004 Civic that wrote on this site. Vehicle starts up fine but the gauges stay at 0. engine temperature & fuel level stay at the bottom, the lights on the cluster works, but the gauges don't read and odometer does not show the kms. All levels come back on after driving for 15 to 20 minutes. When i arrived at the dealership i cannot duplicate the problem. Very frustrating. What can I do? How to fix it? no longer under warranty. I wonder how many people out there are having the same problem. Please ask the gentleman how he got the problem fixed. It has been a year of driving like this... every day.

Civic DX-G 1.7L

  • Automatic transmission

one morning, a week after i purchased the vehicle i started the car up and it started up fine but all the gauges stayed at 0 and engine temperature & fuel level stayed at the bottom, the lights on the cluster all work but the gauges just don't read and my odometer doesn't show the kilometers, it comes back on while driving for about 15-20 minutes, ive taken it in to the dealership a few times but every time i arrive the gauges are functioning, and they tell me they cant diagnose what the problem is. This has gotten very frustrating since i live far away from the dealership and every time i arrive i cannot duplicate the problem for them and i just go back home to the exact problem.
