A/C stopped working on my 2005 Honda Civic. Brought it to dealership and they said a rock hit condenser and caused the freon to leak. $900 to fix and it is not covered under my extended warranty.

My mom just bought me a 2005 Honda Civic about 6 weeks. My A/C was not blowing out cold air so it was taken to the Honda dealer ship and I found out that a pebble had hit the A/C condenser causing a leak. And its not covered under warranty. It is going to cost me about 700 dollars. Its a design flaw. I was researching on line about this happening to anyone else and there are alot. Honda should cover the cost of a new A/C condenser because of there design flaw.

The air conditioning (A/C) in the 2005 Honda Civic vp stopped working. When I went to the Honda dealership I was told that the A/C condenser in the car had a pin hole caused by a rock. I was also informed that although the part was covered by warranty it was voided by the rock. The dealership has quoted the repairs at $813. The car was only 2 years old.
