August 2013, a friend of mine mentions the 3rd brake light is out on my '09 Civic. Couple weeks later, I get the bulb from Walmart and make my boyfriend replace it. What a pain in the neck - you have to tear apart the back of the car to get to it. When he did, oops! It's not a bulb, it's an entire LED setup. There are no bulbs to replace and, being LEDs, are not supposed to burn out. He reconnected the entire setup and bingo - light worked. Forgot about it until I brought the car in to the dealer on 10/13 for a motor mount issue. Dealer says the 3rd brake light is out. Told him we disconnected it, reconnected it and it was working so it's not the setup, it must be a connection issue. They said the setup needs replacing and it would cost me $215 for parts/labor. Needless to say, that's not fixed.

This is my 3rd and last Honda; too many problems with this piece of crap.
