The TPMS light came on solid. I checked all tire pressures which were only a few PSI lower than the recommended 32 PSI. I then drove the car a few miles to see if adding a measly few PSI would cause the TPMS light to go off. It remained on solid. I then scheduled an appointment with the Honda Dealer telling them nothing more than the TPMS light is on solid. Then informed me it would cost $45.50 to do the diagnostics. I scheduled the test for the first available date which was 9 days after it occurred. In the interim I decided to make an appointment to have the brake fluid replaced as the owner manual recommends the fluid be changed every 3 years and also decided to have new tires be placed on the vehicle during that appointment as they're almost 7 years old, and even though they still pass PA state inspection, I'c concerned just because of their age. However I decided to have both actions performed at a different establishment and called the Honda Dealer to cancel my appointment. Today, 10 days later, without having performed any other actions other than the original act of increasing the tire pressure a few PSI, the TPMS light went off while I was running errands as has remained off. In other words, there's no reason for the TPMS to have come on, nor any reason for it to go off. I'm having he aforementioned work performed on the vehicle tomorrow and am anxious to hear what the auto repair shop has to say is the "problem", which my gut tells me is absolutely nothing. What I'm saying is I believe the Honda Dealer wanted to charge me $45.50 for a supposed Diagnostic Test than did not have to be performed. There's something fishy about the TPMS light coming on solid, and after 10 days it just went off. Today on the 10th day after the TPMS light mysteriously came on and has been on solid for the preceding 9 days

Update from Oct 4, 2016: So, after the TPMS light had been on solid for 9 days, it mysteriously went off on the 10 day, after i had done nothing to it. I took it to a different dealer other than Honda which wanted $45.50 for "diagnostics" and lo and behold the dealer found nothing wrong with it. In other words, if I had $45.50 to Honda they would have told me what? We didn't find anything, thanks for the money? The light has not come back on after driving it as I normally do for the past 2 weeks or so. The new dealer even informed that my tires will be good for another year and they offered to rotate them free of charge. Things learned: Get a second opinion and don't believe the TPMS light.
