The driver's side visor has split and just hangs down in the line of vision....I purchased a new genuine Honda visor and the same thing is happening to it. Now the passenger side visor is also beginning to split. Honda will not stand behind their defective visors. It is not overused or abused in any way. My vehicle is always well maintanined.

I bought a 2011 Honda Civic coupe. I bought it new and have been the only owner. 2 years ago the paint began peeling on the trunk. The peeling has now extended from trunk to the roof. The paint on the roof is almost entirely peeling. The trunk has huge spots where it is peeling. The hood has white lines on it also from paint failure. This car now looks ridiculous and is embarrassing to drive.Honda issued a recall but never actually alerted people that may have this problem. They are absolutely liable for this paint failure for using cheap products.

The air conditioning compressor has been changed once before. It is again giving problems and is only producing mildly cold air. My mechanic has informed me that I need to change the compressor again. That would be #3!

While driving I reached up to pull the driver side visor down to block the sun glare. As the visor came down it made a cracking sound. After stopping and placing visor back up an in place. I learned it had broke on the first use. Now the visor will not stay in place and sometimes swings and restrains my view as a driver. This is a odd occurence, or a detected product.

Is it common to brake axle? or is there any chances to brake while replacing whole breaks(front wheels)? I did my inspection and emissions last week @ J L freed. They were some recommendation about brake replacement. I asked them to go for it and they replaced brakes and passed inspection and emissions. Very next day, while I pull back my car from drive way and suddenly stopped working. Engine was running but it was moving forward or reverse. At the end, I dropped of my car(by towed) back to J L freed, they said, some reason axle is broken. I stated that, it may be happened while your tech were changing front brakes. They were not ready to listen and denied that we didn't brake it. I paid them to replace my car axle but I wasn't happy about it because they were not ready to take responsibilities. Please advise.

Driver side sun visor broke off. Happened during the summer. Only used a few times and got worse by every use. This should never happen on a newer car!!! this needs to be a recall as it is a huge safety hazard. Blarring sun in my eyes while driving on a major interstate to and from work everyday. I have nothing to block out the blazing sun rays, except sun glasses, which is not suffucient. Has not been replaced, as that would require missing an entire day of work and having to pay for the replacement. Manufacturing defect!!! safety hazard!!

The sunvisors are broken. They will not not remain in a stable, out of sight position. As they remain in the down position they block sight paths for oncoming traffic and pedestrians. Honda earlier recalled vehicles for a similar issue. To date it has not been addressed.

Does the faulty sun visor settlement in 2011 ring a bell" my 2011 Civic has the same problem, so apparently Honda wasn't working on correcting the issue during the settlement time frame. I replaced it once in late 2014 and now it needs replaced again in 2017. How does this not obstruct nighttime driving? how do you build a good engine yet fail year after year on a lousy sun visor? need a photo" reference the billion other photos sent during the 2011 settlement!

The original driver's side sun visor was replaced in 2014 due to breaking apart on the pivoting side and now the 2nd driver's side visor is broken. This car is only 6 years old and two driver's side sun visors have broken due to the same design flaw. Now the car needs yet a 3rd driver's side visor. This is highly unusual and impedes the driver's view due to not remaining in the normal, stowed position. Additionally, when needed to block the sun on a bright day it does not maintain the intended deployed position, but only hangs vertically which impedes the driver's view of the road, not to mention distracting the driver's concentration while driving. I consider this a safety issue that may cause a driver to veer into oncoming traffic or onto the shoulder of the roadway. This same issue has been noted on earlier Honda Civic vehicles that did require a recall.

On several occasions, while my daughter was driving at normal speed of traffic on the highway, as well as on streets, the car simply shuts off. This occurs regardless of the level of fuel, even when it is full. The car has been serviced and maintained per recommendations by Honda. It is not a battery issue. After a few minutes, the car is able to start again. It is very scary when it happens. My daughter took the car to a Honda dealership and at first they did not find anything wrong so they "released" it back to her. Unfortunately, it stalled out again while she drove it so she brought it back to the dealership. They have since been able to replicate the "stall out"themselves but have not been able to find the cause. They have been in contact with Honda engineers to investigate, but it is unclear if they have ruled out a defective fuel level sensor, ignition problem, or electrical problem or other issue. They have had the car for three weeks.

The driver side sun visor has the same problem as my 2007 Civic where it separates at the seem and the visor will not stay in place. It has dropped twice and caused an obstruction where I had to hold the visor up and out of the way and drive through an busy intersection with one hand. This is a safety hazard and recalled for my 2007 Civic model but not extended to the 2011 Civic model, but it is the exact same problem. Is this defective part still being put into current models or has this been redesigned" if not, why wasn't this issued extended to the 2011 model year"
