Civic LX 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 64,000 miles

Right before my first smog check, the stupid computer decided to not display the odometer reading. After a couple of hours on YouTube, I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and reconnected it to fix it. This caused my emissions monitors to reset and had to do retest for incomplete monitors. I don’t know what causes it.

Took car to get emission test done odometer is not working no mileage displayed the operator taking the test had to put a psuedo number down. I took car to Honda dealership and he told me that I would need to pay $ 109.00 to get it tested to see why it is not working. I called Honda to check about my warranty and said it was not covered. I brought this car in November 2011 and purchased a 7 year warranty thinking it was covered. I think they should do a recall and they should repair it at no cost to the customer.

Civic EX 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

Bought a brand new 2012 Honda Civic and right after the warranty is up, all hell breaks loose. First, the electric windows stop working, then the dashboard information console goes black and I don't know my miles, can't listen to radio. And the car dealer wants almost a thousand dollar to repair something they can't explain. They say they never seen this problem before, but I've seen several post about this issue. I feel so ripped off,

I want the world to know how messed up this company treats their paying costumers. I'm not even halfway done paying for this lemon and have to drive it this way because I can't afford the "repair".

Civic

  • 12,504 miles

The odometer on the interior display stopped showing any information, then a week later all of the useful information I reference often is also not displaying. This includes the range for driving, miles per gallon, basically everything on the info page. I tried resetting to default but that did nothing.

On board computer said the gas cap was not secured, I thought someone had siphoned my tank while I was at work. Stopped car and checked, cap was on fine. I removed the cap and reuse cured it and the same indicator showed up. I found out that this will happen if u top off your gas tank (put more gas in after the pump automatically stops).

I have gone to the Coggin Honda in Orlando 4 times to get it fixed. They still have not been able to fix it.

Keeps showing the gas cap is not tightened. But it is.

Keeps inactivating the passenger air bag.

They keep blaming us that we don't know how to tighten the gas cap.

They tighten it and still the sensor goes off.

i regret buying this car.
