The touchscreen has this random, intermittent problem where it will turn itself from whatever screen is selected to the home screen. If I try to change it back to say "Apple Carplay", "Audio", or "Settings", it will flip right back to the home screen. Each time is does, it beeps. If I use the lanewatch camera, it will shut it off and go to the home screen. The navigation screen is the only screen that doesn't flip back to the home screen or beep. Although the backup camera doesn't go to home screen, it still tries to but fails. I know it because it still beeps like it is trying to flip to home screen. The only temporary resolve is shutting the car off and back on. It is currently at the dealership getting checked out.

Civic EX 1.5t

  • Automatic transmission
  • 350 miles

Not long after I purchased my 2016 Honda Civic, the radio screen started flashing off and on. Took vehicle to the dealership where I purchased it. The service department didn't know what the problem was, so they blamed it on my IPhone with Pandora downloaded on it(REALLY). After they realized that wasn't the problem (REALLY) I took my car back home with no solution to the problem.

Now two weeks later the problem has worsened to where it flashes of and on the whole time I am driving The dealership has been notified again along with a video of the problem. Their explanation is we have to report it to the manufacturer and wait for an answer. Still no phone call with a fix to the problem and it is getting worse. This is very annoying and distracting while I am driving.

All I want is the problem fixed and I keep getting the runaround. One more time to the dealership and I will enforce the Lemon Law to them.

xm is frozen and will not play

I first had issues with the audio system, nothing audible would come from the speakers on AM, FM, Blue tooth, Navigation, XM radio. The radio would function and change channels but no audio. Honda came out with a software update for the infotainment system and that did the trick but it seemed to introduce a new problem. The XM no longer functions and is frozen on a channel, i can't change the channel or hear anything. I've called XM and did their troubleshooting including sending a refresh signal several times, but nothing changed. I'm pretty sure it's another software issue and I've made an appointment with the local honda dealer and I've complained to Honda of North America so they're aware of the issue.
