This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
Every once in awhile when I’m driving I will get a notice “Bad USB check owners manualâ€. And my phone will not charge or work via the USB option, I can only listen to music via Bluetooth. It has done this for the past 6 months (incidentally as soon as the warranty expired at 36000 mi). If this happens I have to plug my phone into my other usb charger.

Honda has had my car 45 out of the 70 days I have owned this car. They said they cannot fix this issue at this time and that I simply had to "just deal with it." Will NEVER buy a Honda again after how I have been treated.

The infotainment system randomly cuts out. Also if you're listening to a USB audio file it will stop if you get a phone call and not come back on unless the engine is off for a period of time, then restarted. The Android Auto randomly cuts off. So much for using your phone as a NAV. The dealer is no help because they can't consistently recreate the problem. One dealer claimed that only about 3 phones work with Android Auto and ours isn't one of them. We have Samsung s5's, one of the most popular cell phones sold.

Sometimes when you plug the phone into the USB port to charge it will connect to Andriod Auto. Sometimes it won't. Very annoying.

This is a constant problem with this make. Android Auto sometimes does not connect at all and I have to unplug, replug, or completely reboot the entire electronics/audio system. With Apple iPhones, the problem is even worse. Recently, I have not had this problem as often, luckily.
