touch screen display faulty

Let me say first that I am a Honda person I am on my second NEW car but have always bought a Honda. I purchased my car new in August 2017. About 6 months after purchasing my vehicle the screen flashed and blacked out a couple of times. I was going to have it looked at during my warranty time frame but it never did it again. Fast forward July 2020 and just past 36K miles, I get into my car one afternoon and it was blacked out with vertical lines I have attached a pic. I googled this issue and it seems lots of people are having the same issue. I contacted the dealership where I purchased my vehicle, they informed me that they would have to charge me to diagnose the issue. I am pissed because my car is only 3 years old and should not be having this type of issue. I have contacted Honda to let them know they need to look into this issue to see if they need to do a recall. I will not purchase another Honda if this is not resolved fairly.
