Civic Hatchback

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,200 miles

I bought the car September 2017. The day before Thanksgiving in November I began having excruciating sit bone pain. It took many months to make a connection, as I don't drive much (less than 6k/annually). Recently while driving a long distance in commute traffic I had a flare of the pain again. A light went on, wondering if my physical pain was caused by the seat itself. At the time of purchase I thought the firm seats were a GOOD thing. Maybe not so much? I drove a 2007 Civic Coupe for 10 years and never had a problem. It's too bad because the car is otherwise nice, lots of bells and whistles, stylish and I get a lot of compliments on it.

Civic Hatchback EX V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 22,000 miles

The seats are so uncomfortable in the Honda Civic that I've developed lower back pain from the lack of lumbar support. It started about 6 months into owning the car, I drive long distances and extended hours (3-4 hours a day). My back started hurting and I attributed it to my failing memory foam. I've since replaced it and can finally pinpoint that my back only starts acting up after driving in the car or while in the car.
