Our 2005 began rusting from inside the windshield in 2007, discovered by the tech that replaced the cracked windshield. It has progressed across the entire windshield now and has also appeared on the back sunroof. The 5 year Honda warranty is worthless since they say its our fault "We had surfboards on the roof". The 3 estimates for repair all claim "that it should be covered under warranty since it clearly began under the windshield, and they have never seen anything like it in a car 4 years old." I still enjoy the element for my activities; diving, surfing, snowboarding, camping. The element was advertised as the "Outdoor suv" but I am stunned by the denial of Honda to own up to their 5 yr. body and paint warranty. My car sat for a week outside the dealer when I called to find out what they were going to do, they told me it wasn't covered. I wanted to share my experience and find out if anyone else has a similar issue.
