One day while I was chaining my oil, I noticed something metal hanging off of my car. I took my car into a local shop and was told that it was my catalytic converter heat shield. The mechanic said that it had "rusted off" and could not be placed back on. He simply cut off the remainder of the shield and told me to just be careful when I park in dry grass since I no longer have this heat shield.
