The contact owns a 2007 Honda Fit. The contact stated that the key failed to unlock the driver side door. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they were no longer manufacturing the part. The approximate failure mileage was 72,014. Updated 6/11/15 the consumer stated the lock cylinder had to be replaced twice. Updated 06/16/15

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Fit. The vehicle was parked and the contact stated whenever there were heavy rains, water leaked into the vehicle from the driver's side window seal. While attempting to open the driver's side door utilizing the manual entry, the key failed to insert into the door latch. The contact received a recall letter under NHTSA campaign id number 10V033000 (visibility: Power window devices and controls). The recall stated in severe rain conditions, water may enter the driver's window and reach the master power window switch. The vehicle was taken to the dealer which stated the door failure was not associated with the recall. There were no repairs performed on the vehicle. The contact was upset due to the result of water damage to the door locks and the vehicle not included with the recall. The failure mileage was 60,000. The current was approximately 67,000.
