The contact managed to avoid a few crashes. A report was filed with the manufacturer, but they have not returned the contact's phone call. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they offered to trade-in the vehicle. The contact declined because it would cost too much money. The dealer stated that nothing else could be done and referred her to the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 20,000.

The air conditioner stopped working on my 2007 Honda civic. When I phoned the dealer to inquire if this would be covered by my warranty they said most likely unless a pebble bounced up and punctured a hole in the condenser. I found it odd that he was so familiar with this problem. Sure enough, a "tiny pebble" punctured a hole through my condenser. I thought this was just bad luck until I did some research and have found numerous complaints about this same exact problem happening to other Honda owners. I drive under normal road conditions. What is to say this won't keep happening. It must be a design flaw. I paid $469 to get this fixed, not something I can keep doing. I asked the service representative if there was anything I could do to prevent this from happening. The answer no...translation for me not driving it is the only way to prevent a tiny pebble from doing this again. Help please.
