The floor covering, what Honda humorously calls carpet, is of Yugo quality. The retention anchors that hold the floor mats in place came loose, and obviously could not be fixed properly. The service rep informed me that Honda would not replace the floor mat because it supposedly had endured hard use. Instead, they half-way reattached the retention anchors. I treat the anchors with care when I vacuum the car, but they really don't serve any function anymore. I didn't know about Carcomplaints.com when this was going on, so I don't recall the mileage when I first brought it to the attention of Sunny King Honda.
