problem #1

Fit DX 1.5L L4

  • Manual transmission

My locks have all been quite finicky for at least a year - I finally took the car in when my key would only enter the driver's side lock after about 5 minutes of wiggling. Needless to say, the locks in a car should not fail after only 69,000 kms (43,000 miles). I ranted and raved at my dealership about the shoddiness of this part but they would only give me a small discount on labour - still over $300 USD to fix ($400 CAD).

So the driver's side lock is repaired, bUT my trunk and ignition are both finicky too and will no doubt also need to be replaced in the near future - there are a lot of other Fit drivers reporting this problem on forums. Very poor quality from Honda, and extremely bad service not to replace this faulty part for free.
