The speedometer and gas register either goes blank or shows gibberish several times a day. You cannot deduce speed limit on highway or see how much gas you have.

My car accceilerated twice without the driver touching the accelerator. It happened while parking as the car was creeping forward in the parking space and suddenly sped up. I had to stamp on the brake to stop it. I do not know why, but I found out that cars of the same make, model and year in Japan were recalled for spontaneous acceleration and it was a software problem. I have not had an accident, but it is clearly dangerous and could result in accident or injury if the car hit and object or a person. If I had not been able to stop the car, I would have hit the cement wall of a building.

My car began lurching as soon as I pressed the accelerator to leave my driveway. Cars go 50 mph on my road despite the 35 mph signs, I was scared I was going to be rear ended and had to yank the car over to the side of the road immediately. I was afraid I was going to be rear ended. What if the wires had been only mostly chewed and they came loose while I was on the parkway??

While parking the car in the parking space, it suddenly self-accelerated, jumped the curb, and crashed into the wall in front of the car resulting in injuries to both the driver (2 fractured neck vertebrae, 3 fractured ribs on right side, and broken left foot) and passenger (laceration to right hand and bruised ribs on left side). The acceleration was too fast for either the driver or passenger to respond. Airbags did not deploy, and the car was considered a total loss due to the extensive damage to the front end.

Unintended and sudden acceleration. November 2015 the car was making a right hand turn into a parking space, while pressing the brake the car suddenly accelerated the brakes did not work, the car traveled about 70 feet before stopping. Took it to tom wood Honda all they checked was the brakes and said it was fine. Update: February 2016 making a right hand turn into a parking space at a panera bread gently tapped the brakes the car accelerated and went thru the door at panera bread. Tom wood Honda checked the brakes says its fine and released it to the collision center. I am making lease payments on this car but when it's repaired it is staying at the lot. It accelerates on it's own and is going to kill someone. I cannot allow anyone in my family to drive it. I also cannot afford insurance wise to drive a car I know accelerates when it decides to.

When my wide was moving into a parking slot in front of a grocery store, at the moment of complete stop, the car suddenly accelerated and jumped forward hitting first the concrete block in the parking slot, then the edge of the sidewalk, kept moving fast forward onto the sidewalk and finally coming to an stop when it hit the wall of the grocery store. This is known as "sudden acceleration" or "unintended acceleration". about 175,000 2015 Honda Fit have been recalled for this very issue in Japan. Also, the air bag didn't deploy either causing the bodily injury to the driver (headache, neck and back pain, she has seen doctors and physical therapist).
