HR-V EX 1.8L V4

  • Automatic transmission

I noticed the directional was blinking incredibly fast on the dash. Thought it was weird and something new. Stopped to take a look and no directionals were operating on the outside of the car. Had to bring the car back to the dealer to get fixed. 3 months into owning a new car and didn't expect to be back AGAIN to get something else fixed. They fixed it, but took an afternoon to get it done.

Update from Nov 4, 2017: This happened again 2 weeks after the original "fix". Noticed it was not only the blinkers, but I had no running tail lights either. Brought it back to a different Honda dealership this time to get fixed. The harness connector to the fuse block was contacting the knee bolster brace and causing a short. They removed the harness and connecter, rerouted the insulated harness to prevent further contact with the interior components. They also said they notified corporate Honda to ensure future cars are wired differently to avoid this problem.
