Not only did are door need to be fixed once but two other times. What a piece of junk! I loved Honda before purchasing this Honda Odyssey! Will never purchase another Honda again!

Odyssey

  • Automatic transmission
  • 150,000 miles

When we got the vehicle at 150K miles, the slide door light came on within a week. This was passenger side. The slide door stopped working. We got it reset at the dealer for about $100, and then it went out again within a few weeks. We left it alone but then my father-in-law replaced the motor as a gift. I think it cost nearly $400. Now the driver's side sliding door has gone out, too.

passenger sliding rear door stopped working, did reset worked 2xs

2005 Honda Odyssey pax sliding door stopped working. Did a reset worked 2x's then stopped. Dealership want to replace motor and a few others items for over $1300.00. No troubleshooting. Another place will do same work for around $900.00. My question is if door will work a couple times after reset isn't the motor working and not need replace? Door slides automatic & manually, without problem, so I would think the cables are ok. Really don't want to $900-1300 into this van, any ideas / more troubleshooting you can suggest?
